Week 9

Wide receiver and cornerback Gabe Clark was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player of the game in week nine against Hampton. Gabe caught 3 passes for a total of 69 yards returned a kick for 45 yards. He also made six tackles from his cornerback position on defense. Congratulations Gabe.

Week 8

Quarterback Mike Lenosky was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player of the game in week eight against Knoch. Mike passed for a school record 360 yards completing 22 of 33 passes that included 3 touchdowns. Mike led the WPIAL in passing that night his nearest competitor was 120 yards behind him. Congratulations Mike.

Week 7

Wide receiver and Punter Brad Kazmierczyk was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player in Week 7 when the Golden Rams visited Franklin Regional. In the game Brad made 3 catches for 66 yards, one catch over the middle was converted into a 41 yard touchdown, when Brad made some outstanding moves and dragged two defenders over the goal line for Highlands first score. He also averaged 44 yards on his punts that night and ran a fake punt for a key first down. It was the third time in four attempts that he has converted a fake punt for a first down. Congratulation Brad.

Week 6

Free Safety Tyler Cole was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player of the game in week six against Indiana. Tyler made 11 tackles from his free safety position. He also had the Golden Rams first interception of the season at the Indiana one yard line and also had a fumble recovery. Congratulations Tyler.

Week 5

Linebacker Josh Barry was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player of the game in week five against Mars Area. Josh made 9 tackles from his linebacker position and had 2 quarterback sacks on Homecoming Night at Golden Rams Stadium. Congratulations Josh.

Week 4

Linebacker Terrell Leonard was named Week 4 Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player for the Golden Rams for his outstanding play against the Kiski Area Cavaliers. Terrell accounted for 11 tackles and 2 quarterback sacks from his inside linebacker position to lead the Golden Rams defense. Congratulations Terrell.

Week 3

Running back Gary Negley was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player of the game in week three against Pine Richland. Gary ran for 134 yards on 18 This is his second MVP award this season Gary also won for his outstanding performance against Fox Chapel. Congratulations Gary.

Week 2

Linebacker Nick Dailey was named the Newport Business Institute Most Valuable Player of the game in week two against Montour. Nick made 14 tackles from his linebacker position. He also put pressure on the Montour quarterback throughout the game. Congratulations Nick.

Week 1
